Company Profile

The Lighting Design House was founded in 1990 by Mary Rushton-Beales and continues to apply an approach which encompasses great creativity and imagination with a grounded realism and ability to deliver.

From one off art pieces and specialist gallery spaces to vast leisure, retail and entertainment complex’s both within the UK, Europe and the Middle East the Lighting Design House team continually strive to remain at the forefront of modern day lighting consultancies.

Our involvement with higher education since the 80’s has provided a link with the most current trends and inspirational problem solving. In addition this has meant that lighting schemes are developed from a thorough understanding of both spacial and three dimensional design.

Our work for London Underground since 2000 on the Platform for Art series of art and sculpture Exhibitions has involved the illumination of 200 different art pieces and led to Commissions for the Royal Society and Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.

The principal personnel have extensive lighting knowledge and experience gained from working with all levels of the construction industry over 25 years, be it an intimate and highly personal private commission or indeed a lighting strategy for an entire city, the team at lighting design house have a proven track record for delivery in addition to a diverse and enviable portfolio of projects and clients.
