Events & Special Projects - Switched On London

Switched on London is a lighting festival in the capital that aims to highlight the importance of sustainable lighting design in the night-time urban environment. A number of sites were lit during a 2week period in February 2007 & 2008 in an energy efficient way to show the power of light in the city.

We used light to tell a story of the tower and its evolution over the years as well as proving that with careful use of equipment and clever design, stunning effects and amazing lighting can still be created using a fraction of the “normal” energy used, for the 2008 scheme featured here and on the following pages we used only 30% of the energy usually used to light the tower.
