Set in pines gardens, an area of designated natural beauty the calyx is a unique ecologically sound conference venue that was also built as an example of a physiologically beneficial building. The lighting design is ultimately variable so that visitors can experiment with different colours and levels of white light as well as stronger colours. The fitting to achieve this was developed in collaboration with Clearvision Lighting and uses dimmable red green and blue fluorescent tubes in combination with a polarising filter to create glare free lighting. |
